Hellooooooo
This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone.
I appreciate the concern which is been rose. The things need to be sorted out because it is about the individual but it can be with everyone.

Downfall hasn't posted here in a year.

But you're a spambot anyway.

Is anyone here still interested in digital painting techniques or have any photoshop-related questions? I would be glad to take over RAD's thread and serve the community.

Is it possible to paint without a tablet and how easy is it to learn?

If you want to paint digitally, then it is extremely difficult to paint without a tablet. I know a Korean artist that paints better than a lot of tablet users, and he uses a mouse, but that is really rare.

Most traditional drawing and painting skills apply directly to the digital painting. It requires some basic knowledge of form and lighting, but once you get the basics it is up to you how far you want to go and how you want to get there.

Touch screen laptop actually works like crap. It cannot detect pen pressure. You really can't draw very well with those.
